Gun violence

Gun violence is a problem around the world but nowhere is it more apparent then in modern day North America. This year alone there have been more school shootings then actual days of the year. It’s extremely sad to see and I believe a common reason for this is mental health. Mental health is always a touchy subject and not easy to manage and thats how alot of people end up doing these crazy heinous actions, cause its hard for them to tell right from wrong. Also gun laws play a huge factor, in america its easy to get a gun and do whatever you want with it and thats easily a part of the reason why gun violences are as common as they are and yet alot of Americans refuse to cancel them or stop these laws because of their “rights” and “american pride” overall its very sad to see and there are options for fighting these cases and other countries have implemented them to great success but it just seems like the American government dosent want to.

Pesticides

The american environmental movement has always been around and is looking for the protection of mother nature, a catalyst for their movements was Rachel Carlson. Nature is a very important part of life as a whole and its important that we learn to treat it with respect. Nature can also be quite dangerous so its understandable how some people could get scared of certain parts of it. DDT is a pesticide that was created in order to combat the high amount of mosquitoes and insects around the world but mostly america. DDT became extremely overused all around the world and Rachel Carlson

Rachel Carlson in her book titled, silent spring mentioned the harms of constant DDT use. While DDT is an effective bug killer its also poison. It can. Linger in the air and in the water harming nature and humans alike. It stays in our bodies and can be transmitted even to our children. DDT was very widley used but after Rachel published her book and was backed up by government resarch DDT used was restricted and controlled in many places around the world. However in some plsces especially in africa the rise of malaria was an increasing problem and since people always need to find a victim people pinned the blame on rachel carlson and her book. Even stoffel of fox news called her a mass murderer. Thats a bit intense in my opinion of course but people always need to blame someone and people even used as an excuse to bash on women and in progressive ideologies. Because people love making things political. And so after decades and years of studies and diseases people have discovered that the main problem ar the mosquitoes themselves. Mosquitoes are very adaptable and evolutive creatures, they constantly adapt to these methods of dealing with them to the point where methods can become completely innefective. They get more resistant basically. Scientists are working hard to use this against them in a fight to make them be able to be controlled efficiently once and for all.

humans love to jump the bandwagon. If someone says something is bsd then everyone says its bad. If someone says something is goof then everyone says its good and people always look for excuses to either treat people badly or call them out on things. This whole debacle was used by many people as an excuse to bash on women and their potential. DDT as a concept was great but in execution was also good but not as good as thought to be. Rachels observations were incredible and its very important to hear what everybody has to say from the beginning so we can keep developing better and better ideas as a society.

Spring break

my spring breaks are usually spent in the church “pascua juvenil” Its usually a good chunk of the week spent there. As a kid i enjoyed those but as i got older i lost interest in them hut my most fond memory is definitely one of the last ones i had is where i went with my whole family spending the time in loiza all together. We where in a hotel and had fun in the pool and all the other activities and things present. We was there for most of the week. It was very pleasant

Banned books

I believe books are a very important and essential thing for development and especially in school. I believe there are very little cases in wich books should be banned. Case number 1 is when books contain sexual and VERY explicit content. A few swears here and there i believe wont hurt if they are teens but for kids id also ban those. Case number 2 id say is when it has very extremist ideologies. Kids are very impressionable and its very important to let them form their own opinions and ideas from a young age but we gotta be careful with that cause some books and ideas should wait to be developed till one is older. Political ideas and philosophical ideas. For teens go ahead but for kids be wary of these books so we dont let them fall into a tunnel vision. Im personally not very big on books but i like stories. In my house there hasnt been anything specific banned per say but everytime i stumbled into something i wasnt supposed to or something i would be warned. Ive personally never read any books that i feel should be banned. At on point as a kid i read captain underpants and someone told me that i shouldnt read that because of the “underpants” but in reality its just a very silly and wacky book series that is perfect for kids. Those are basically my thoughts i dont really have too much to say. Its up to the discretion of the vieer and th parents. Only people with authority over what you read should be your parents(mostly as a kid) and teachers(only in school). Apart from those two i dont really think anyone else hould tell you what you can or cant read. You choose whatever you want to do and you learn whatever you want to learn. Simple as that.
