Quotes #3

october 11-20

All these quotes have some gothic topics as their focus, horrors, revenge, unknown, monsters, etc. It uses it as a way to show that we have to learn from our darkness and fears and use it to mold a better version of ourselves. These quotes were nice and the symbolisms and meanings we had to really dig a lottle more to see it clearly. Very enjoyable

Quotes 2nd part

The quotes we have expressed these past classes are all very insightful and good. They all have a similar theme of light and dark and even more specific they all have dark seen as a bad thing and light as the good. It makes sense i mean the dark in movies for example is usually considered bad like thats wherre the monsters that where all the things that could get you are and darkness is a common fear amongst children. But light is usually considered good as you can see everything and makes things clear. Ying and Yang, in every light there is dark and in every dark there is light. In every good there is evil and in every evil there is good, one cannot exist without the other and that is how we are balanced. I agrre tho especially with what some said as in one must first see the dark in order to find the light because a person can only learn from their problems and mistakes by facing them headon, that is how one pulls out on top and finds the light.

Story ending

As our brave and courageous knight stepped into the water he suddenly got jumped by a huge and ferocious monster it was ugly and slimy but oddly stiff. As our knight was fighting the monster he realized something, the monster looked confused and scared and suddenly he looked like he was puffing up and was about to blow and then BANG. The monster blew up and out was revealed to be something even more despicable… His fellow knights:). They had all decided to play a little prank on our chivalrous knight, they set up the lady to shout and yell for help in order to lure him in. Once everyone calmed down and settled they heard some more shouts for help but this time they didnt know where exactly it was coming from. So they all decided to head down deeper into the cave with our knight leading the charge, once they entered the chamber where the screams where coming from they saw a lady tied up to a pole. She was beautiful in everyway possible but you couldnt see her face due to her hair covering it. Once they took her down and moved her hair, her eyes lit up and she said: FOOLS YOU PLAYED IN AND DISRESPECTED MY HOLY LAKE?! Well now you shall suffer. She turned into a giant shark and started causing chaos. Every single person died except our chivalrous knight who managed to escape tho terribly wounded. After recovering he then proceeded to become a huge jerk who didnt help anybody but himself and was especially hard on women. The end.

Quotes of the week

Your future is created by what you do today not tomorrow

I agree since i personally believe the present to be the most important timestamp of all and its critical for your future to focus on the now and then you can accomplish everything you wish.

He is happiest, be he king or peasent who finds peace in his home

One must learn to be happy in his home no matter what, the good things is that most people already know by default since home is simply home and its an amazing gift where one can be themselves with no worries.

To be the best you must be able to handle the worst

A good leader always know how to handle every situation especially the bad ones and its how you overcome them and learn from them that detemines how good you can be not even as aleader but as a human.

Everyone thinks of changing the world but no one thinks of changing themselves

I agree with what this quote is attempting to say. People are ambitious but dont really know how to drive that ambition and most of the time one must start with themselves and then work theyre way up from there to do bigger and bigger things in a sort of butterfly effect.

King arthur video

I found the video to be more comedic and a sort of parody to king Arthur’s original legend. Its a callout to how dumb and irrational it would be if it were real especially the way that arthur became the king. A classic story of peasants presenting their thoughts on government and how its is flawed as a system especially the monarchy. it also expresses the distaste of the peasants and shows their own new system of government. Overall its quite interesting and i liked it since im a fan of parodies and revolutionist topics

Reading and writing activity

What is better than wisdom? woman, what is better than a good woman, nothing

The greatest scholars are not usually the wisest people

Nothing good ever comes of violence

For to die with honor is far better than to live disgraced

a kind heart is like a slow poison for a warrior

These are the quotes weve had these past classes and i believe most have something in common, they have context as a very important factor. Cause that last one for example only reallu applies to knights and not normal people since its bad for us to be emotionless. The violence one is also a good example. In general these quotes are good to make yu think and have perspective and reasoning in mind. It opens up the minds to possibilitieas and chance. In general its food for thought. The scholars one shows perspective, the woman one shows admiration, the violence one is also perspective, the honor one is opinion and context cbecause it sounds very knightly and warrior like

women in medieval times

Women had it very rough in the middle ages, tehy had barely any rights and just overall had a bad time. I believe one of the main reasons they had it so rough was religion and the weight that comes from the “original sin”. ACcording to christianity eve ate the forbidden fruit and caused the downfall of humanity and man, ever since the bible was published this stigma stuck around with them. Even childbirth was very difficult thou that might only be due to the not advanced medicl state of the medieval ages. the only wome who held power were from the church and from royalty like the queen. Queen isabella for example worked with her lover to bring down the reign of her husband. Overall it was just very difficult. Most women were not in power and were forced to work for and with their husbands like property. It varied slightly from country side and city but it was about the same, the men owned there wives and forced them to help with specific labors especially around the house. They simply had very little control of their lives

reading and writing activity 1

item 1: The day finally came, they were so excited they couldnt contain their emotions. When they came back home they couldnt stop singing “Bad and “Billie Jean” their favorites. But then i realized… its 2022

item 2 Review, The middle ages were overall kinda dark. Not very many good thigns happened. Religion caused too much fights and suffering like the crusades. Even the french had their own war. The roman empire was once so grand and big but a little mismanagement and infighting caused their downfall and therefore the beginning of the dark ages. YEar after year things went down with all the wars and crusades and then when people least expected it, the bubonic plague happened and wiped a quarter of the population and shoke up the whole system. This was actually thre beginning of the end. Due to the effects of the bubonic plague people started to see how religion could be sort of innefective and people started to lean more into human tendencies, and with this it was the end of the middle ages and the beginning of the rennaisance.

item 3 It was a typical day in the kingdom of memia, this kingdom was very lushious and had a solid defense and knight system, the training regimen was elite and every single day there more and more knights. Every single one under the command of the grand master. All was good until suddenly there was a giant fireball overhead and hit the castle. The city was beginning to burn and all the knights were kopping out in a blood boiling raged frenzy. When they suddenly saw the behemoth staring them down: Diaval the dragon of old folklore. With just a single flap of his wings half of the soldiers went down, some by the force of the wind and some by sheer fear. Those who were still standing where unshaken and knew that they had to step up and face this mighty beast. 10 minutes passed and not a single soul was left to face Diaval however with his dying breath thre grand master calls out to a certain name and then suddenly, the original grand master of the holy knights Cicero suddenly came back and with his two swords was the only one who could slay the monster.
